So little by little I got sucked in by this pill. I started to use it a couple of years ago while on PCT. and then after PCT. and then on cycle . and now I basically take it every day, the 5mg pill. I had no big problem with erections without Cilias. but with it it’s really the hell of a lot ..stronger, better and i mean its just a lot better. As a reference Im on Nebido now, 44yo, with a 37yo yummy wife and with no existing conditions. I cant find any long term serious side effect with the 5mg ED pill (read stuff from Harward medical etc ) but would interested to hear any strong thoughts from the forum? In terms of long term health issues this habit may cause? Thanks in advance

Under Construction

It’s an FDA approved medication for benign prostate hyperplasia. It has a small positive effect on blood pressure. It reduces C-reactive protein which in turn reduces plaque build up in your arteries. There are many new study’s showing it has many positive effects on a wide array of heart/cardiovascular health, including prevention of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury, Doxorubicin and post-MI , heart failure, cardiac hypertrophy.

There’s also a study that showed it increased lean mass in healthy aging males.

So, all in all, it’s a pretty good drug, one that I and many guys take on a regular basis. Whether this is everyday or every 3 days or whatever.

I supplement with it too although at 5mg eod. My experience is the same as yours and I also don’t suffer at all with ed.

When I researched it I also couldn’t find anything detrimental with regards to long term supplementation at low dose. Plenty of positives though.

The only thing I did find was one instance where a lawsuit was issued in America where a skin cancer victim had attributed Viagra to his condition. When I dug down into this there’s no evidence of actual causation.

I take it for the positive effects on endothelial health. I’m 47 y/o

Ultimately the drug is still relatively new in the grand scheme of things so the benefits or risks of long term supplementation are unknown.

I have always pretty consistently took Cialis 20mg M/W/F for the better erections, I dont have ED without it though, its just better as you said

Over the new year I went to Turkey for a week and didn’t take any with me, I had a one night stand on NYE and with no Cialis in my system it took me ages to get an erection, it was very embarassing

I’m worried I was having some sort of withdrawal from it

Well yes. there might be an element of it (withdrawal) ..but from what I read it isnt physical its more psychological. One thing i conssistently read is about some loss of vision over time (blood vessels dilatation) and hearing too. Not sure. I think my vision has gotten worse over the last 7/8 months but I’m also aging and spend a lot of time over four screens at work.

I’d previously only tried Cialis decades ago when it first cane out and a source gave me some generic stuff to sample. Didn’t think much of it at the time.

The past few months I’ve been taking it regularly as an ingredient in Nexus’ T5 and can see why people keep taking it – fantastic stuff and pleased to read it has many benefits outside of outstanding erections! :thumb

Psychological withdrawal. 60mg a week is a high recreational dose for a healthy 20 something year old, I would look to reduce that mate.

I was taking 5mg EOD for health benefits and now on 5mg ED for BPH type symptoms, which over the last few months seem to of improved massively.

I’m down to 45mg a week now, I have the 60mg vidalista that I cut into quarters and take a quarter M/W/F, I’d go less but I can’t cut the tablets any smaller 😆

I take a 20mg vidalista and slice it into 8 pieces (2.5mg and have it daily and have done so since 2014), i find it helps with blood pressure and also I’ve read its good for the heart and prostate.

It definitely doesn’t cause me any placebo effects as it objectively just works!

How Many Years Can You Take Cialis?

Cialis is one of the most effective treatments for erectile dysfunction, and it has a lot of users because it has been proven safe and effective. But exactly how long is that “safe” part good for? It may not be as long as you think.

We’re not sounding any alarms here, but the fact is that while there are extensive studies showing Cialis is safe for a couple of years, research hasn’t been done on the question of decades of usage.

If you’re dealing with possible or diagnosed erectile dysfunction, Cialis might offer a long-term or even permanent solution for what ails you and your member, but you should still educate yourself on the details before beginning a life-long regimen of medication.

With that in mind, we’ve broken down ED, how Cialis can treat it, and what the science says about using Cialis over the long haul.

Erections and Erectile Dysfunction

There are a few things you should know about what’s up (or isn’t) down there.

Erections are the product of two processes: blood flow to the penis’s blood vessels, and trapping of that blood in two long champers called the corpora cavernosa.

When you become aroused, your brain sends chemical signals to your body to dilate the blood vessels in the penis, allowing blood to flow in.

Then a muscle closes things off a little like a balloon, so that the blood becomes trapped, keeping you erect.

When something goes wrong, leaving you with an incomplete or partial erection, it’s called erectile dysfunction (ED).

The National Institutes of Health say that an estimated 30 million to 50 million men nationwide have some degree of erectile dysfunction. ED can be caused by factors including poor diet, obesity, blood flow issues, stress, anxiety, illicit or prescribed drugs, habits, and hormones.

Luckily, there are medications proven to help treat ED when taken correctly. They’re called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors, and they basically work to sustain the dilation of your member’s blood vessels in the soft tissue of your penis, which gives you (and maintains) firmer erections.

genuine ViagraÂź makes it possible

What Is Cialis?

Cialis (and the generic tadalafil) is a prescription PDE5 inhibitor — in fact it’s one of the two most popular on the market, alongside Viagra.

Cialis is a little different from other PDE5 inhibitors, in that it can be taken either as-needed or once daily. But unlike Viagra, Cialis has been shown to be effective for up to 36 hours from just a single dose, according to the National Library of Medicine.

Dosage is an important element of effective Cialis use. According to the FDA, daily doses of Cialis are typically smaller than as-needed doses; as-needed will range from 10mg to 20mg, whereas a daily dose will typically range between 2.5mg and 5mg.

Those lower doses are effective when taken daily — and a larger daily Cialis dose would offer no additional benefits — just added risks.

ED treatments, delivered

Generic for Viagra (sildenafil)

The more affordable FDA-approved medication that treats Erectile Dysfunction at a quarter of the cost.

Generic for Cialis (tadalafil)

Affordable and helps get the job done. Generic Cialis helps you get and maintain your erections through a simple, daily dosage.

ViagraÂź

The OG Little Blue Pill that made its name as the first prescription Erectile Dysfunction treatment.

CialisÂź

Cialis helps you get and keep stronger erections with a daily or as-needed pill.

Cialis Side Effects and Drug Interactions

And those risks can potentially be severe. Like most medications, Cialis is not without side effects and potential negative drug interactions.

And though it has been proven safe, there are still important cautions to be considered before starting a Cialis regimen.

Because PDE5 inhibitors cause dilation of blood vessels, they can also be used to treat certain types of hypertension, but that is because they have the capacity to cause severe drops in blood pressure.

Beyond blood pressure risks, the most commonly reported side effects from Cialis are headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle pain, flushing and stuffy nose. A small number of patients also reported abnormal vision.

And Cialis should not be taken alongside other ED medications — particularly other PDE5 inhibitors. Overdosing Cialis or taken alongside other ED medications can cause sudden and severe blood pressure drops, which can result in death.

Any heart medications, blood pressure medications, or other drugs with the potential to cause blood pressure interactions should be reported to your healthcare provider before taking Cialis for the same reasons.

That includes alpha-blockers and antihypertensive medications. Likewise, excessive drinking could cause complications, according to additional FDA data.

Rare Cialis side effects include sudden hearing loss, renal impairment, and prolonged erection or priapism — those four hour erections you’ve likely heard about. According to the FDA, “Priapism, if not treated promptly, can result in irreversible damage to the erectile tissue.

Patients who have an erection lasting greater than 4 hours, whether painful or not, should seek emergency medical attention.”

How Long Can You Take Cialis?

That takes care of the short-term side effect warnings, but you’re probably not looking at Cialis as a single-use solution, since ED can be an ongoing problem.

Of course, the biggest question for a long-term solution to ED problems is whether it’s a safe solution for the long term. So the question stands: how long can you take Cialis? Does Cialis lose effectiveness over time? The answer isn’t clear.

A 2004 clinical trial published in the Journal of European Urology followed more than 1,000 men using various dosages of tadalafil for up to 24 months.

They found no serious adverse effects to long term use of tadalafil over the course of those two years.

But most men will likely plan to take Cialis for more than two years — or at least hope to. And that’s where things become ambiguous, because there aren’t any long-term studies about adverse effects.

A 2017 paper in the journal Urologia Internationalis acknowledged that while there were substantial studies done on short term effects, there was a lack of long-term and follow up testing, and that the efficacy and safety long-term “could not be evaluated.”

Is Cialis Right For You?

Cialis is a proven safe and effective option for treating erectile dysfunction, and it certainly could be the right solution for you.

But you can’t — or at least shouldn’t — just start popping pills. There are more questions you’ll need to answer.

One such question is whether the cause of your ED might be psychological. Insecurity, fear of intimacy, or low self esteem, and conditions like anxiety and depression can play a role in performance issues.

If you think that might be the case for you, consult a psychiatrist or mental health professional to see if other treatments might be helpful, instead of or in addition to medications.

There may also be lifestyle factors that a healthcare provider might want you to address, like diet, stress, or weight.

If you do end up taking Cialis of the long haul, know that the science is still very much evolving on the long-term effects of regular usage.

There aren’t any known risks, but until more studies are done, you’ll be one of millions of penile pioneers if you begin a regular Cialis regimen.

If you’re not ready to take the next step in treatment, or you’re just learning about ED, we have resources available to help you learn more about the causes, symptoms, and treatments, and eventually determine if Cialis is right for you.

Going from cialis 5mg daily to 2.5

Ive tried cutting the pills (with a pill cutter) and it’s all over the place with how it’s coming out.

Ive got a prescription for 5 more months of the 5mg so wanted to see if I could make this work before I had to get a new script.

Tadalafil (Cialis) Decreases Estradiol.

ABSTRACT Introduction. It has been reported that lack of sexual activity due to erectile dysfunction (ED) may be associated with testosterone (T) decline. Aim. To investigate whether the known changes in sex hormones associated with resumption of sexual activity are sustained in the long.

There shouldn’t be much of an issue, going to 5 mg every other day, from 2.5 mg daily. I would definitely try it.

I actually am doing 5 mg daily and want to go to 10. I get better erections with 10 which I take on Fri and sat.
Or what else seems to work is 5 mg plus 750mg citrulline malate.
Any advice?

Also not sure because it was injection day or that I took the citrulline at about 6pm last night but had a lot of trouble shelling.

I quite the citrulline when I started the cialis as to isolate for effectiveness. The cialis has been so effective that i don’t feel the need to add the citrulline back in. One thing I’ve found to enhance the effect of the cialis is to drink this bottled juice from a local juice-maker that is primarily red beet. Unfortunately, they’ve ceased production due to the virus. I’m going to buy a lot of small red beets from a local farmer and add them to my daily smoothie.

It’s an interesting paper. Not sure how official it is. It’s pretty short, not double blind, etc. May have some validity but not proven beyond a doubt.

Taking Cialis daily is a game changer

I started taking very low dose(2.5mg) Cialis every morning along with vitamins, and this chit is the way to go. Literally have the libido and arousal of a 16 year old adolescent at 37.

Always be closing. By the time I’m 3-4 minutes into talking to a random girl, already trying to close the deal and take her home. Will probably take this chit every day for the rest of my life.

Like anything else, you’ll adapt to it and have to take more and more until it doesn’t work anymore.

Then you’ll really be screwed (except not really because you won’t be able to get it up).

I’m aware of those studies actually. They measured testosterone response, among other things.

They did not measure long term effects (as OP mentioned, lifelong daily usage) on adaptation and erectile dysfunction.

Viagra and Cialis facilitate the flow of blood to your penor. They don’t have an actual physiological effect on your libido.

Having said that good for you on your improved libido. Congrats.

When you come to think of it, almost all human behaviour and activity is not essentially any different from animal behaviour. The most advanced technologies and craftsmanship bring us, at best, up to the super-chimpanzee level. Actually, the gap between, say, Plato or Nietzsche and the average human is greater than the gap between that chimpanzee and the average human.

As mentioned above, there is research indicating that daily Viagra at certain dosages (based on memory, 100 mg for sure, and maybe 50 mg) increases testosterone.

Yeah there are lots of health benefits to cialis and viagra. I’ve heard from people who’ve taken low dose for years and never had to increase. Some people do, but I think that probably has more to do with other factors that worsen erection strength over time than from a tolerance to the drug being developed.

There’s some research on that too. Basically it’s complicated, but it can work and is sometimes prescribed to treat female sexual dysfunction.

I use to take it before banging girls, not because
I had ED but because I had performance anxiety and struggled to stay hard during sex in the past. Had no problems getting boners in general though.

One day I forgot to take it before seeing an escort yet had no problem staying hard. When I realised I’m alot more sexually confident I no longer take it anymore.

It’s a good drug if you have genuine ED, however if you can’t get it up due to nerves it’s literally all in your head and you don’t need it IMO.
